More Than Ten Years

I was at Manila last week. ANSA-EAP gave me a round trip ticket to attend a meeting for Social Accountability.

Sunday. I arrived at Manila at around 4pm after being stuck on air for about an hour. Bad weather conditions did not allow our plane to land immediately. Because of the rain, it was a slow drive. Thus, I proceeded to Greenhill where I met with Asling, JP, and Red. We ate at KFCs, Red's Favorite. Asling paid for the dinner. Had Coffee after our meal.

Monday-Tuesday. Mom informed me that Marions back on TV. I forgot about this until the next day when someone in the meeting noted the importance of Media. I texted Ion and learned that she returned to work on June 30, 2010 and was able to cover the Turn Over Ceremony of PGMA to PNoy. She also informed me that she was at Times Square for a coverage of PNoy. Nice work Ion.

Wednesday-Thursday. At the Meeting. Lucky for me JP lent me a digital camera to document my meeting at ANSA-EAP.

Friday. Prayed Jumaat at UP Islamic Studies. Met with some College Friends. I did not dare use the SUV in fear that I will be caught because of the Number Coding Scheme.

Saturday. Met with Asling, JP, Red and Den. Had dinner at KFC. Played 4 hours at BlueSkies. We finished before 12:00 midnight. This shows that we grew up. No more early morning or 2 day straight gaming for us. We returned home using Red's Taxi Cabs.

Sunday. I bought a book which after an hour I lost :( I attended the baptismal of Karlo and Nikki's baby daughter Kalayaan.

It was a week spent with friends. But I miss home and I'm happy to be back at Cotabs with my Family.

as of this year our batch is 13 years away from highschool. still, most of us keep in constant connection with one another. I will try to update this site with stories of our friendship and experiences. pray that i will have the time.

Unexpected Gathering

Yesterday, after meeting King at UP, Sides, JP, Red and I had an unexpected gathering at Greenhills.

JP, Red, and I had dinner at Promenade with Kat (Red's Sister) and Den (Our College Friend). Then Sides arrive with Jhoe (Side's Sister) and Che (Our UP Masteral Friend).

We stayed at Starbucks at first but Sides and the girls transferred to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf because they wanted to have free wifi access :P By the time Sides arrived at Starbucks the boys were already surfing the net. We only had one airborne access account thus it forced the girls to transfer to another coffee shop.

By 11pm I had to leave. However, Sides, JP, and Red stayed to enjoy the cool friday night ambience of Promenade, Greenhills

I Saw King

Yesterday, I prayed at UP Diliman Islamic Studies. To my surprise, King Baraguir was there.

He said “Jay lumalaki tayo ah”. I returned the greetings. He also gained a few pounds :P

King is now working at HSBC, UP Ayala Techno Hub.

Jp Tan in Mindanao

Jp Tan just had a two weeks weekend in Mindanao. He just arrived today in Manila.

In Mindanao he stayed more than a week in Cotabato, and spent some time in Davao. He had a fun time with his family. His family was at Cotabato for a Family Reunion. However, he was sad that Cotabato is not the Cotabato he once knew and that Kidapawan and nearby Cities has left Cotabato behind.

He noted that security at Cotabato City airport is so strict. Which I agree with him, in Manila and other airports you can put your chargers and laptop cable in your laptop bag. However, in Cotabato you have to put your charger and laptop cable in your check in baggage.

I bet if he ever comes back to Mindanao he will have a few days in Cotabato and a week in Davao or Kidapawan :P

Edsel in Manila

I hanged out with Edsel Tuesday Night -- 10 March 2009. Lucky, I finished my research at UP Law Library early.

We ate at his favorite restaurant Cafe Sweet Inspirations Restaurant and Bakeshop , simply Sweet Inspi. (i believe its our favorite restaurant -- sides, bom, and red will agree to this) We had as usual an Eat-All-You Can Mongolian Buffet.

Edsel was going to Thailand the next Morning. I told him that he should have contacted Daniel Tan. Unfortunately, it was too late. So my advice to him was to get himself a u-mobile sim so he can call his wife -- Dayang.

Edsel reached his quota and is going to be awarded as one of Pascual Lab's best Medical Representative :) He's trip to Thailand is a free tour for 3 days and two nights all expense paid by the company. Except for the pocket money.

After Sweet Inspi, we hanged out at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at UP-Ayala Land Technohub. We were full and need our food to settle down. Before, 10:30pm we returned Edsel to his Apartelle.

It was nice hanging out with Edsel.

We had Seattles Katips All for Ourselves

Sides (syempre lady's first), An, Jp, To Lek, and I hanged out at Seattle's Best Katips last night. We had the smoking room all for ourselves. The aircon was cool, we had our laptops, seattles has its wifi, and all of us were drinking classic cafe mocha. It was a slow but relaxing night.

Sayang di ka umabot Red inantay ka namin hangang 12 ... Lol, we stayed only til 12. Di na tulad ng dati :P

Back in Cotabs; Rest; Edsel; Game Plan

Im currently in Cotabs because my uncle's mom, Lolo Dic, died and was buried on Sept 21, 2007.

I was not able to go around the city and was not able to meet our batchmates because I'm also ordered to rest because I just had dengue last week and was confined at the hospital for 5 days aside from fasting.

However, today I am with Edsel. We are currently at my tita peng's apartment downloading and catching up. He is asking what will be the game plan this december. I told him we might have an adopt a school project and assist the this years aes reunion batch sponsor. He also asked if we regularly meet in manila - which I unfortunately have to reply not as we used to meet weekly.

Be back in Manila hopefully wednesday.
